Currently there is a new push to allow sales taxes on internet purchases, create taxes on internet connections and rumors of even a tax on email. Where will it end. I think this is so dumb and typical of politicians. All they ever want is more money and they'll use threats of raising other taxes to get new taxes.

The current worry is with all the Democrats in Congress the lobbyists will succeed this time in getting their taxes made into law. Luckily businesses making less then 5 million in out-of-state internet sales are currently exempt from their proposed laws, but once we open the floodgate who's to stop them from changing that too.

States and municipalities are currently barred by federal law from collecting both internet connection and sales taxes. Lets hope it stays that way.
